FINALLY!!! After grueling hard work, and lots of prayer, the Agape Orphanage Home in Uganda has completed their project of building a new home to house the more than 30 children.
In order to do our part in helping those affected by Hurricane Matthew in Haiti, we have launched a new campaign. Here is the link to find out more. LUC has recently partnered with Agape Orphanage Home in Uganda. This orphanage was started, and is directed by Mr. Ssenyondo George. He is a man who has heeded the call of God on his life to look after the poor, weary, and broken children in a Ugandan village. We are very happy to have and welcome Mr. Ssenyondo and all of his family of 32 children. Please click here to learn more about Agape Orphanage Home, and how you can help Mr. Ssenyondo care for God's little precious ones. Because of your donations, we were able to send a $500.00 USD check to the children of AUPODED in January of 2014. Your donations made it possible for them to start the new year with new-found hope. Your donations were used to feed the children, as well as purchase supplies for them to use during the year. Unfortunately I was not able to get pictures but instead got some video footage of the feast these children enjoyed. Using the video clips, I decided to put together this video on behalf of all of the children of AUPODED to say "THANK YOU" to all of our supporters who gave out of the depths and abundance of their hearts. May the LORD Jesus Christ richly bless you for all that you have done for these children. It was a great pleasure to see the look on the children's faces when they were surprised with art supplies. To top things off, LUC was able to arrange a class session with a local artist. During this session, the children were given a short, but very hands-on lesson on basic drawing skills. At the end of the tutorial all of the children were then given their own supplies, and using what they have learned, were sent off on their own to put in practice their new knowledge.
Late 2011 LUC joined hands with an organization based out of Fond-Parisien that go by the name of AUPODED - Association L'Unite POur le Developpement des Enfants Demunis. This organization focuses on extra-curricular activities for the poor children in Fond-Parisien. This group consits of more than 300 kids, some of them orphans.
In August of 2011, LUC surprised over a dozen school children with brand new backpacks stuffed with school supplies. Because of your contributions, we were also able to include some food products for some of the children. Below are some pictures of the children. Click HERE for more.
